Power Healing:

Despite continual advances in medical technology and know-how, incidences of illness and pain in this country are on the rise. Hypertension is rampant. The number of deaths from heart disease and stroke is rising instead of falling. Every other person you meet seems to be suffering from chronic pain caused by arthritis or bursitis or some other "-itis," and cancer is striking way too close to home. If that isn't bad enough, each allergy and flu season seems worse than the last.

So why do we get sick or fall victim to pain? Western medicine believes that sickness is caused by invasive elements (including bacteria, viruses and parasites), inherited conditions, or injury. Pain and incurable disease are often chalked up to aging or chance. But that doesn't explain why we are vulnerable in some cases, but not others. Nor does it explain why some of us succumb to whatever comes near us, while others never seem to get sick at all.

I have a different theory, one that has led to vanquishing everything from colds and allergies to, for some, seemingly incurable diseases, and to alleviating even the most chronic pain. The explanation behind why our bodies—and even our mental and emotional health—fall into disrepair is quite simple. Indeed, it can be summed up in a single word: energy.

"Practical, useful information and techniques for putting the body's natural abilities to work on healing—a wonderful contribution."
